The Association of Portuguese-speaking Olympic Committees (ACOLOP), together with the host Cape Verdean Olympic Committee, are organising the 4th Lusophone Olympic Congress<\/strong>on the days 24 and 25 April 2025<\/strong>in Praia, the capital of Cape Verde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be attended by representatives of ACOLOP member National Olympic Committees, partner institutions and international experts, and will aim to promote dialogue, strategic alignment and cooperation within the Portuguese-speaking sports community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Congress will address the following central topics, aligned with the ACOLOP Strategic Plan 2022-2028<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. ACOLOP's international recognition<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Lusophone Games<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Consortium-based programmes and international funding<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Services to be provided to ACOLOP member Olympic Committees<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This meeting represents a unique opportunity to strengthen ties between Portuguese-speaking countries and territories, promoting a collaborative approach to sports development, institutional capacity building and the affirmation of Lusophony on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
