In addition to news about the Lusophone sports world, which is updated daily, the ACOLOP website now has an area for publishing non-news texts. The section is called \"Lusographies\" and its aim is to publicise texts about Lusophone sport and culture. \"We want to bring together a group of people who are recognised as thinking about Lusophony and writing about it,\" explains Manuel Silv\u00e9rio, president of the Association of Portuguese-speaking Olympic Committees. \"Professor Jorge Ol\u00edmpio Bento is the first contributor to this new space on the website. He received our invitation with great enthusiasm, which honours us greatly.\" He added that the ideal situation would be to have at least \"one contributor from each continent in this new section,\" and that the feasibility of this is being studied. For Manuel Silv\u00e9rio, less than two months after the inauguration of the ACOLOP website, the creation of this new space \"is another small step towards the Association being able to effectively contribute to Lusophony on a global level.\" \"Up until now, we have focussed our attention on disseminating information about the sports of the various ACOLOP members, and we have also tried to disseminate as much news about the Olympic Movement as possible, which is not usually available in Portuguese on other channels,\" said the Association's president. \"From now on, the site will also be a space for reflection on what is happening in the Lusophone sporting and cultural world.\" Jorge Ol\u00edmpio Bento is President of the Faculty of Sport at the University of Porto and of the Multidisciplinary Commission of the Portuguese Olympic Committee. The author of several works and texts on sport, he has played a major role in the academic approach to this area.
