The meeting took place during Mr Rogge's trip to the Macao SAR to take part in the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games, which took place last night. Reiterating ideas expressed last June - at a meeting in Lausanne with ACOLOP President Manuel Silv\u00e9rio - Mr Rogge said that ACOLOP can count on the IOC's full support. \"The basis of ACOLOP is a strong cultural identity, through which its members develop the association's Olympic sporting activity,\" he said. Drawing parallels with the organisations that promote Olympism in the Anglo-Saxon and French-speaking spheres, he said that \"the International Olympic Committee has every interest in supporting ACOLOP and its projects\". During the meeting, held at the host hotel of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games, Manuel Silv\u00e9rio emphasised the importance of the IOC's support for ACOLOP, an organisation that celebrated its third anniversary last June. \"It's very important for a young association like ours to be able to strengthen relations with the International Olympic Committee,\" he said.
