Ethics Summit 2023

Ethics Summit 2023 is a digital 100% event, which will take place over the 8, 9 and 10 September 2023involving the eight Portuguese-speaking countries. Its main objectives are to promote reflection, debate and the acquisition of knowledge on issues associated with the ethics and integrity in sport, throughout the Portuguese-speaking world. So it is, the biggest event of its kind ever held in the sporting world involving Portuguese-speaking countries.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend conferences, round table discussions and workshops and also to get involved in working groups of common interest, creating partnerships to build common projects centred on promoting integrity, ethics and fair play in Sport.

This event, in its second edition, allows civil society and sports organisations to take part, working with Portuguese-speaking countries. To this end, it has the formal support of around 70 associations, federations and organisations promoting sport (Institutional Support Committee), who committed themselves to participating and spreading the word about this important moment of reflection. O Ethics Summit 2023 will be attended by around 40 internationally recognised experts on the topics that make up the programme. event programme.  

It is aimed at the entire Portuguese-speaking public and above all at all those who are directly or indirectly involved and/or participate in sport, from managers to coaches, athletes, teachers, judges and referees, doctors, researchers and students, journalists, businesspeople and many others. 

As of the date of this press release, the organisation confirms that around 2,000 participants have signed up, from all Portuguese-speaking countries and from all areas of sport. The number of registered participants is expected to reach 3000.  

This important event, a centre for debate and genetics, will focus on genetics, "racism and phobia", "manipulation", "doping and anti-doping", professional and amateur sport, "good governance and transparency", "criminal infiltration in sport" and "inclusion and equality".

This event is organised by the Panathlon Club of Lisbon, with the direct support of the Panathlon Club of Brazil, the Federal Confederation of Physical Education of Brazil, the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, the Sports Foundation, the National Confederation of Physical Education Teachers' Associations, the Confederation of Coaches of Portugal, the Confederation of Lusophone Coaches and the Faculty of Human Motricity of the University of Lisbon, as well as many other organisations that have voluntarily associated themselves with this project.
