As part of the Brazilian Olympic Committee's (BOC) ongoing commitment to promoting gender equality, we are pleased to announce that the document "Representation Guidelines - Equal, Fair and Inclusive Portrayal in Sport", drawn up by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has been translated into Portuguese.
This initiative, realised last year, reflects the BOC's commitment to raising awareness of gender issues and promoting inclusive practices on the sports scene. The translation of the document is now available on the IOC website, along with versions in other languages, and can be accessed via the link: Portrayal Guidelines (olympics.com).
This translation represents just one of the many activities conducted by the BOC, through the Women in Sport area, established in 2021. The main objective of this initiative is to positively impact the sports system by ensuring the inclusion and full participation of women in all spheres of sport. In line with the IOC's principles, we recognise the importance of encouraging deeper reflection to ensure that the sports media adequately represents women.
For more information or to request access to the translated document, please contact the BOC through our communication channels. Together, we can make a difference in building a more equal and fair future for sport.
