ACOLOP will be represented by 410 athletes from 10 member committees at Paris 2024

The Association of Portuguese-speaking Olympic Committees will be represented by 410 athletes from the 10 member committees taking part in the Olympic Games to be held in Paris 2024. Let's take a look at the numbers and the competition disciplines:

  • The Brazilian Olympic Committee will have the most qualified athletes in this edition of the Olympic Games with 277, 55% of female representation in 39 sports: Open Water, Athletics, Badminton, Men's Basketball, Boxing, Slalom Canoeing, Speed Canoeing, BMX Racing Cycling, BMX Freestyle Cycling, Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Fencing, Women's Football, Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics, Women's Handball, Equestrian Dressage, Equestrian CCE, Equestrian Jumping, Judo, Weightlifting, Swimming., Modern Pentathlon, Rowing, Women's Rugby Sevens, Show Jumping, Skateboarding, Surfing, Taekwondo, Tennis, Table Tennis, Archery, Shooting, Triathlon, Sailing, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Wrestling.
  • The Portuguese Olympic Committee has qualified 73 Olympic athletes in 15 sports: Athletics, Canoeing, Cycling, Sports Dance, Equestrian, Gymnastics, Judo, Swimming, Skating, Surfing, Shooting, Triathlon, Tennis, Table Tennis and Sailing.
  • The Angolan Olympic Committee will be represented by 25 athletes in the seven sports of Handball, Athletics, Canoeing, Judo, Swimming, Rowing and Sailing.
  • The Cape Verdean Olympic Committee qualified seven athletes in Boxing, Judo, Fencing, Swimming and Athletics.  
  • The Mozambique Olympic Committee also took seven athletes to the Olympic Games, in Athletics, Boxing, Judo, Swimming and Sailing.
  • The Sri Lankan Olympic Committee will have six Olympians at Paris 2024 competing in badminton, swimming and athletics.
  • The Guinea-Bissau Olympic Committee qualified six athletes in the disciplines of Wrestling, Taekwondo, Swimming, Athletics and Judo.
  • The Equatorial Guinea Olympic Committee will be represented by 3 athletes, as will the São Tomé and Príncipe Olympic Committee.
