COP contributes to the prevention of match-fixing in Guinea-Bissau

The Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP) took part in the second phase of training on the prevention of match-fixing in sports competitions, organised by the Guinea-Bissau Olympic Committee (COGB) in Bissau from 17 to 19 November.

João Paulo Almeida, director-general of the COP, was the trainer chosen for the session, which was attended by a total of 70 participants, including managers, coaches, referees and representatives of football clubs.

The training is part of the "Sports Integrity" project, a COGB project, which "aims to train those involved in national sport about the phenomenon of sports manipulation and how they can recognise, resist and report any signs of manipulation in competitions".
