The 4th Lusophone Olympic Congress, organised by ACOLOP (Association of Portuguese-speaking Olympic Committees) will take place on the following days 24th and 25th Aprilat the Oásis Praia Mar Hotel in Praia, under the slogan: "Towards a joint approach to development through sport". The event will be broadcast live on ACOLOP's Facebook page.
The Cape Verdean Olympic Committee will be hosting the event, which will see top international sports organisations in Praia.
The congress, in line with the The International Olympic Committee's Agenda 2020+5, promotes the strengthening of co-operation between Portuguese-speaking countries through sport as an instrument of sustainable development and social inclusion.
The following topics will be highlighted: ACOLOP's international recognition; Strengthening the Lusophone Games; Strategic consortia and international funding; and Services to member Olympic Committees.
