During the recent Olympic Games, the Association of Portuguese Language Olympic Committees (ACOLOP) signed two important cooperation protocols with leading international organisations. The signing ceremony was attended by ACOLOP's president, Filomena Fortes, who formalised the agreements with PANAM Sports and the European Olympic Committee (EOC).
The first protocol was signed between ACOLOP and PANAM Sports, represented by its president, Neven Ilic. This agreement opens the door to future collaboration, focusing in particular on the Knowledge Transfer programme, which aims to promote the sharing of experiences and good practices between sports organisations in the member countries.
The second protocol was signed with the EOC, through its president, Spyros Capralos. This agreement concerns the Writing for Consortium Projects programme, which facilitates access to European funds for the development of joint initiatives between Portuguese-speaking countries and other EOC members.
These protocols represent a significant step forward in ACOLOP's strategy to strengthen international co-operation and expand sports development opportunities for Portuguese-speaking countries.
