The 43rd edition of the Galaxy Entertainment Macau International Marathon will take place on Sunday 1 December 2024. The event is jointly organised by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Galaxy Entertainment Group and the Macau General Athletics Association.
Once again, the members of the Association of Portuguese-speaking Olympic Committees (ACOLOP) have been invited by the Olympic and Sports Committee of Macau, China (CODM), to take part in this prestigious competition. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship and sporting co-operation between the Olympic communities of Portuguese-speaking countries.
The Macau Marathon is known for its ability to unite athletes from different parts of the world and this year another memorable edition is expected, with great international involvement. In addition to the competition, the event provides a moment of cultural and sporting exchange, where promoting the Olympic spirit is always one of the main objectives.
This initiative promises not only to be a landmark in Macau's sporting calendar, but also a symbol of the strengthening of ties between Portuguese-speaking nations, represented by their respective Olympic committees.
