Marco La Porta and Yane Marques take over as president and vice-president of the BOC

The tenth president in the history of the BOC took office on Wednesday, along with the first woman to become vice-president.

Marco Antônio La Porta and Yane Marques took over the presidency and vice-presidency of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) on Wednesday afternoon (15) for a four-year term.

The swearing-in ceremony, attended by Paulo Wanderley Teixeira and Alberto Maciel Junior, who have passed on, took place at the BOC's administrative headquarters in Barra da Tijuca, on Rio's west side, and was attended online by the members of the organisation's General Assembly.
