A Association of Olympic Committees of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (ACOLOP)founded on 8th June 2004 in Lisbon, brings together the Olympic committees from Portuguese-speaking countries from four continents, representing around 250 million peoplewith the mission of strengthening sporting and cultural ties, promoting sporting participation, physical education and Olympic values, and fostering cooperation and unity among its members, acting as a reference Olympic organisation that, through strategic partnershipsin its Strategic Vision 2022-2028 for the Lusophone Games and the role of sport as a catalyst for sustainable development. Sustainable Development Goalsl, particularly in protecting the oceans and promoting the Blue Economy.
