On 17 March, following the ACOLOP General Assembly in Malabo, the Women and Sport in Lusophony Congress took place. At the congress, several panellists had the opportunity to discuss the role of women in the development of sport in the Lusophone countries of the ACOLOP community.
Among the panels was a presentation of the GE FORCE programme by the president of ACOLOP - Filomena Fortes, funded by the European Union, in which the Cape Verdean Olympic Committee is one of the active partners. It was also announced that the ACNOA Women and Sport Forum will be held on 5 and 6 October in partnership with GE FORCE to promote the leadership of women in sport in Africa.
