In support of elite athletes as they prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Airbnb Athlete Travel Grant is back! In collaboration with the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee, Airbnb is reaffirming its commitment to providing a comfortable stay tailored to the needs of athletes during the crucial moments of their sporting careers.
Airbnb will offer up to 1,000 athletes the chance to receive a $2,000 Athlete Travel Grant, allowing them to book personalised accommodation through the platform. This initiative, launched for the first time in 2021, aims to create an environment conducive to training and competition, recognising the importance of comfort and familiarity when preparing for world-class events.
By providing a unique experience tailored to athletes' needs, Airbnb is committed to offering accommodation that includes amenities such as cooking, laundry and other essential services. This approach allows participants to focus on their physical and mental well-being, providing the support they need to compete at the highest level.
