The Angolan Olympic Committee (AOC) has elected the new President of the Executive Committee for the 2025-2028 Olympic cycle. Pedro Celestino de Sousa Godinho, the List A candidate, was elected with 112 votes, corresponding to 53.08% of the votes validly cast.
The election took place on 10 June 2025, with 92 voters taking part out of 96 registered voters, demonstrating the strong commitment and representativeness of the national Olympic movement.
The new team is scheduled to take office on 21 June at 5.30pm at the Paz Flor Complex in Luanda.
With this election, ACOLOP warmly congratulates President Pedro Godinho and his entire team, wishing them a very successful term in office, marked by the promotion of Olympic values, the development of Angolan sport and the strengthening of co-operation within Olympic Lusophony.
