Olympic Solidarity launches a scholarship for mental health

Olympic Solidarity has announced the launch of 10 scholarships for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Certificate in Mental Health, a training programme developed by the Sportsoracle platform as part of the Olympic Values Programme. The initiative aims to enhance the skills of those who support athletes, promoting greater awareness and understanding of the importance of mental health in sport.

The course is aimed at members of the athlete’s support team, including coaches and other support staff, with the exception of doctors or licensed professionals, to provide mental health services. There are no formal academic qualifications required to take part in the training; proficiency in English is the only requirement.

Through this opportunity, participants will be able to acquire the essential knowledge and tools to better understand the challenges relating to mental health in the sporting context and to support athletes’ wellbeing more effectively.

Registration for the programme is carried out via the Sportsoracle website, where you can also find further information about the course content.
