The Sporting Unity project, of which the Association of Portuguese-speaking Olympic Committees (ACOLOP) is one of the seven implementing partners, is progressing at a dynamic and inspiring pace.
Currently, each partner is developing content and collaborating on the creation of a digital learning platform that will be one of the project's pillars. This interactive space will allow young people from different countries to explore and deepen Olympic values, understand the role of sport as a universal language and reflect on the historical memory of colonialism.
With this initiative, we are strengthening our contribution to promoting intercultural dialogue, critical reflection and active participation. We are representing Portugal, in partnership with organisations from Italy, Cape Verde, Greece, Senegal, South Africa and Ghana, in a joint effort to create more aware and enlightened mentalities among the younger generations.
Sporting Unity will impact more than 1,000 young people in these countries, paving the way for deep reflection on how Olympic values can support the resolution of social and human challenges.
