Sporting Unity concludes Training of Trainers Programme - Youth Exchanges about to begin!

The Sporting Unity project proudly concluded its Training of Trainers programme on 6 October, which was an important milestone in the journey towards promoting Unity Through Sport.

Over the course of three engaging sessions, facilitators from all the partner organisations from Europe and the African continent came together to share knowledge, methodologies and educational tools designed to empower young people through Olympic Education.

Each session promoted meaningful dialogue, strengthened collaboration and deepened understanding of how sport can serve as a means for social inclusion, critical reflection and education for decolonialisation.

These sessions were more than just training - they were spaces for co-creation and mutual learning, where participants explored how to address colonial legacies through intercultural dialogue, empathy and the universal values of respect, justice and inclusion.

With the completion of the Training the Trainers cycle, all partners are now fully prepared to start the Youth Exchange Programmes, the next exciting phase of Sporting Unity. These exchanges will bring together young people from different cultural backgrounds in a virtual environment, promoting meaningful encounters, shared experiences and a stronger sense of unity through sport.
